Medical Case Management Services
Field Based
Medical Case Management
Field based medical case management is ideal cases that meet the “red flag”
criteria. Momentum’s “Red Flags” are measurable milestones that may occur
during the course of treatment for an occupational illness or injury. These
“Red Flag” warning signs may delay or prevent an injured person from
returning to work or other normal life functions. Field based medical case
management is highly individualized and may be task or case focused.
Momentum protocols allow for close coordination of
services with Momentum Vocational Case Managers, if authorized for such
services.
Telephonic Medical Case Management
Like field based medical case management, telephonic case
management services are specifically targeted at minimizing “Red Flag”
indicators. Telephonic case management services is a more cost effective
alternative to field based services provided the level of complexity of the
case would not make telephonic services less effective. Telephonic medical
case services highly individualized. Momentum protocols allow for close
coordination of services with Momentum Vocational Case Managers, if
authorized for such services.
Medical File Review Services (Retrospective)
Retrospective file review services provide an independent opinion of the
clinical course a particular case has taken since inception. In developing a
medical timeline or chronology, a payer or claims representative is able to
identify developing trends and consistency in symptoms and treatment. |
